I live in Lowell, Massachusetts and have been hearing about fios for five years now. Every time I inquire about it the only answer I can get is that it is not available in my area. Nothing else, like when it may be available. Can never get a straight forward answer about it.
I don't believe there is any such thing as fios.
Considering that I have FiOS (and love it), I'm pretty sure it exists. 😉
If it's not currently offered in your area, odds are that it won't be any time soon. It's unfortunate, but true. Verizon has stopped expanding FiOS to new areas in favor of filling out existing areas. (Mostly because they don't have the money to continue expansion.)
