How do we get Verizon to respect its customers and to provide us with the level of service that any reasonable company provides.  Any suggestions?

I have a suggestion, or really a question.  Can you be a little more vague?

I've just taken the time to read through all 13 of your posts to date.  In no instance have you given specifics on a particular issue that might allow that issue to be addressed.  Instead your posts contain vague complaints about unsatisfactory encounters with Verizon.  If you are so unhappy with Verizon, there is only one course of action that makes sense: use another provider

There are many readers here who come to these pages with the express purpose of trying to offer useful suggestions or experiences that might solve specific problems.  Some of us, myself in particular, find posts like yours to be little other than aimless rants because in a peer-to-peer setting like this, there is obviously nothing we can do to assist.  Please consider the above the next time you feel compelled to post a message.

I think the way to start is to be respectful of their employees.  I find that the more polite I am, the better service I get!  If you are angry, cool off before calling.  If you get an unhelpful agent, call back and speak to someone else.

This is somewhat true, but you may only get a more polite person but it does not mean you will get one who is more knowledgeable or that can and will commit to what they promised. Terrible terrible service and follow up!!
