Land line + cell plan

I hope this is the right forum to ask about phone plans...

My current situation:

Land line through Verizon (I believe it's Freedom Value. Also, this service was recently changed from Verizon to Frontier Communications in case that matters).

Cell phone through Tracfone.

Dead zone around my house for miles (hence the reason for the land line).

Broadband is satellite only (so no Wireless Network Extender for me).

I don't use a phone nearly as much as most people, but I want one at my house in case I do need it. I would probably use a smart phone when I'm away from home. In fact, I have a Droid I got for free due to some involvement I've had with developing applications for Android phones, but it's gathering dust right now.

It looks like the cheapest plan with data for my Droid would be about $70. I think my land line is around $60. I don't really want to pay for both since I hardly ever use the land line. I've read some news articles about a plan that had both land line and cell, but those articles are a few years old and I don't know if those plans are available.

Does anyone know about these plans? Maybe I should stick with my Tracfone?

Thanks,

Dan
