I just received my bill for May 2013.
We moved two months ago from Richmond VA to a rural location outside Richmond. The Fios Triple Play package we enjoyed is not available at our new home and the only Verizon service available to us is a "copper" land line. We bundled the phone with DirectTV through Verizon and thought we were set.
I have now been overcharged in excess of $800 by Verizon for a bill that should total a bit less than $100/month. After 2 frustrating hours on the phone dealing with Verizon Customer (dish)Service I was told that an inquiry was being made into my account and I should hear something in 5-7 days. I have no idea how the upcoming holiday may affect that time frame.
I intend cut all ties with Verizon (after a 30+ year relationship) and encourage anyone who will listen to do likewise.
