Second Day with Verizon FIOS and Bad Audio quality and Customer support

Hi,

I moved to verizon FIOS HD Triple paly from comcast yesterday and the installation went well. However after a while I have noticed that I have to turn my valume control up like 45 on my Sony audio receiver and there is no real Surround effect at all. I never went more than 40 with Comcast and 40 is actaully LOUD with comcast or my Laptop audio out.  I called the support and they transfered to four different people and couple of STB resets. But no luck..they told me that a tech will come look at the problem but they may charge me $80. I don't understand why they may charge me money for a problem. Comcast never charged me for any of their visits during the last four years. This is not at all a good experience and I had a lots of expectations when I moved.

EDIT: I just got a call and a tech support visiting. I will post again how it went.

There are Volume Controls and Settings available in the STB Menu which may fix the issue that you are having.
