Verizon Junk Mail is an absurd waste of money and paper.

I have noticed some things over the past several years. My Verizon bill has steadily gone up and the amount of Junk mail I get from them has increased also. I get no less than two very nice quality glossy advertisements per week from Verizon . What infuriates me about this junk mail is it advertises dramatically lower rates, albeit introductory rates, than the ones I pay every month. They spend a fortune every year mailing me an offer for a service I already have. Why? So I am aware what everyone who signs up today gets to pay for the first?... So I can add some recycling to my bin? Why? I have an idea. Why don't you stop junk mail altogether and lower all of our rates? At five cents per household (those glossy ads cost a lot more than that) they could save like $26000 for 10000 households annually for only one mailing per week. Imagine if they stopped sending these slap in the face mailers to every current customer of Verizon. We could be talking tens of millions of dollars they currently waste on marketing existing customers. Hey Verizon, stop telling me how much less new customers pay three times a week. It makes me resent your company. A LOT!!!! Anyone else get an obscene amount of Junk Mail from Verizon?  (edit)

Totally agree!

Seems idiotic to send that in our bills---HELLO!! That means we are current customers!!

No fun seeing what deals that are not available to us.

From Verizon, Nope, but I get at least 1-2 Comcast mailers a day, EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY DAY. maybe if they cared that much when I was a customer of theirs I would not have dropped them as soon as FIOS was available in my area 2 years ago.
