Had to laugh tonight when I received a free On Demand movie offer. There's not an ice cube's chance of any more Verizon movie rentals happening in my house. Last three attempted rentals resulted in horrible on demand movie experience (pixelated screen, no sound).
The last rental I did was my last rental with Verizon. Bought AppleTV and have not had a single issue. Your service is oversubscribed, especially on the weekends, leading to a bad customer experience all around. Perhaps you should spend more time managing your on demand bandwidth issues (especially on the weekend) BEFORE taking your customer's money for the rental. At least this way we wouldn't have to call support and speak to an uninformed (but sympathetic) Verizon customer service rep incapable of addressing or solving the problem.
If anyone from Verizon even reads these comments and would like to discuss, call me and I'll give you the play by play. From here on out, it's Apple TV for me.
