poor customer service

i purchased an iphone12 max.  bought the protective case and screen protector along with the insurance as recommended by the sales person.  on day 15 of owning the phone it was dropped 2 feet on a vinyl floor and the entire back of the phone shattered within the "protective" case.  now verizon is giving me a complete run around and telling me they won't do anything to help me because of it being 1 day over their 14 day gurantee.  the insurance wants me to pay $249 to have it replaced.  this phone was over $1200 and it should have never done that.  i have been with this company for a very long time and have spent thousands on phones and service and to be treated this way is a total slap in the face.  verizon should be ashamed!!
