Not to argue, but here is a link to a thread over at DSLReports with a screen shot several posts in that says "approximately $2 per box":

And I saw that same text when I viewed my STBs earlier today.

That means each box will cost two dollars more than we are paying now. Is that correct, because that is what I was told?
We will probably get rid of one of our boxes and rethink other ways of changing our service to save a little,

Not everyone is getting the notice saying $2. It depends on what they were previously paying and what area your in. My notice said $1 raise. A few are getting bigger raises. Essentially new price for a hd DVR is $16.99. Still plus $4 dollars got multi-room/multi-hub. STB in areas like NY, which gets them cheaper than most is going from $5.99 to $6.99.

I'm in NYC, our boxes are definitely NOT cheaper than most. Our DVR is $19.99/mo, our SD STB is $7.99/mo. We also pay a monthly rental on the remotes. This is before the increase.

Never heard of a rental on the remotes before.
I'm on LI and my hd stb went from 5.933 to 6.99. Surprised to hear you pay more in NYC. Maybe mine is cheaper for having a DVR and 2 STB.

I live North of Boston. Set top boxes are going from 9.99 to 11:99. I have two, and you get a discount of 4 dollars for having two, so it essentially wipes out the discount. What is even worse is that even my digital adaptor for my old analog TV ,now 3.99, is going up two dollars also to 5.99 a month

My Multi-Room DVR Package- 4 Rooms is going from 34.99 to 40.96. I am in NY and I believe this is in addition to an increase in May of this year. They actually have the nerve to brag in the letter that, "The best is yet to come. We are working now to build a more exciting product and new equipment in the home to allow you to view your favorite programs on all your screens."
So are they talking about the live streaming ipad app that they announced 2 years ago? The one that every other provider in NY has had up and running for a year now?
Since I had FiOS installed the service has done nothing but deteriorate. I get constant pixelization and freezes and/or audio drop out on live TV as well as most recorded programs. Constant box reboots and other problems I did not see in the past.
What I thought was going to be the innovator has turned out to be the imitator, and not a very good one at that. Now they want to charge me more before delivering on any of the so called improvements. I have no complaints with the internet service or the land line, so that is why I haven't switched back to Optimum, but if they keep this up I may have no choice.
