Month-to-Month plan - Out of town for 1+ months - worth it to cancel and reopen?

To whom it may concern,
I travel a lot and recently doing a long stay in Houston. It is variable...I could be here for 2 weeks-2 months. I am considering cancelling service as I have already been in Houston since Nov. 23rd and see no reason to have service.
My question is given my situation is there a way to suspend service when you are a month-to-month contract for Internet and TV? I would like my service turned back on when I am in town.
