I am having a tree removed that is right where the phone lines come into my house. Can verizon mark the lines so the tree removal folks won't cut them when they grind the stump?

You would need to call your local line markers. They can be reached by dialing 8-1-1. They contact all the local utilities in your area to come mark the line.

Hello
We had BGE check on a dead tree within the utility right of way. BGE says its Verizon's problem.
What is Verizons policy on dead standing tress that pose a threat to their wires and nearby properties?
Do we have to wait til the damage is done and then sue for cost ?
thanks

tree removal has always been between a homeowner and the city. if the tree is on a property line then its probably the city. if its your land, then typically its yours.
