Verizon need's a cheap land line plan.

We just dropped our land lline for a couple of reasons. One is it just didn't seem worth it for the 30 dollars or so and then everyone in the family has a cell phone.  Called to see if they offered a no bones dirt cheap plan, turns out we was on it. 10 to 15 dollars and I would ve kept it. And I know of a bunch dropping their land lines. Which they must be feeling with the idiotic data plan on some of there texting phones and the real funny one, lg 8360. joke.

When verizon get's most if not all family members on a wireless phone plan what's the point of keeping the land line. Or have you not seen the trend?

I agree with LoganX. Dad is now in a nursing home in another state and the best we could do is about $35 a month which includes a 7.99 long distance plan. He rarely if ever calls anyone, much less long distance, but we didn't want to take that option away from him. Wish there was a way of simply charging long distance by the minute - sort of like pay phones used to do.
