Assuming the ethernet adapter is supported by the Wii (not all are) all you should need to do is setup the network connection in the Wii's settings. Run a network test and that's it (assuming you already plugged it in)

First let me address the westell model 6100. It is a modem, not a router. It doesn't give out a wireless signal for your Wii to tie into. In essence it takes the digital signal from the phone line and gives you an interface where you can tie in your computer or a router.
I have the exact same modem. To make the Wii and the computer work together with the internet we bought a wireless router and hooked it up to the westell 6100 modem. THe Wiii will connect wirelessly and the computer can plug into one of the ports on the back of the wireless router

ooohhh, how much does a wireless router cost and is it an extra cost on my bill to use it?? Does it fit into the ethernet port of the modem? Have you ever not been able to get online with your wii with it? What else can it be used with?
Thanks so much!

how much does a wireless router cost and is it an extra cost on my bill to use it?? Prices on wireless routers vary as seen here on this link.
CLICK HERE There is no monthly charge, essentially you purchase the router and conect it to your modem. It's yours. You will want to make sure the one you choose has 4 ports on the back and is wireless B and wireless G compatable. Personally I like Linksys and D-Link routers.
Does it fit into the ethernet port of the modem? Yes, using an ethernet cord (cat5)
Have you ever not been able to get online with your wii with it? I can always get on...no problems.
What else can it be used with? I presume we're talking about the wireless router? You can use it with laptops, or if you get a ps3 down the road, you can use it for that also.
