Hellow all just recently got my interent up and running (somewhat). and well i guess to cut right into the chase my gf has a mac, and successfully connected wirelessly to the modem by entering the password that is written on the modem and boom she's made in the shade. today i bought a wireless adapter for my PC its made by netgear and i installed the disc and it finds the network, but when i try to connect it asks for the password, upon entering the very same password it says it cant connect to the network. i tried to connect on my xbox and entered the password, and the xbox claimed i put in the wrong password. basically, i just want to turn off the password momentarily so i can connect head ache free, and then i guess put it back on if i feel so inclined. why they would ship it with a password is beyond me and incredibly stupid in my own opinion, but whatever.
thanks in advance for any help.

It would help to know the brand and model of your wireless modem.
