I am putting a Westell 7500 on my DSL setup.
I have both a PC and a Mac routing thru a Connectgear Ethernet mini switch router.
The HP printer is being blocked when the Westell modem is inline.
I have wireless turned off.
How do I get the Westell modem to recognize the HP printer?
Thanks.
Pat

Ok.
#1 I found the user's guide / manual for that printer
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=467980&
#2 I selected the User guide, for Pre-Windows 2000.
It may or may or not, matter in your case.

These are the things that I want to know..
#1 The choices are: USB, Wired Ethernet, and Bluetooth Wireless Networking.
Which way did you try to connect this printer to your computer/network.
#2 The power to the printer is in fact on? Not on, you got issue.
#3 If you used the Wired ethernet to connect, the network light is on.
#4 Did you install the software for this printer?
#5 Did you try to use the HP Report print page?
Note: The HP Report print page was addressed in the manual that I found (from page 26 to page 28 if printed) OR from page 28 to page 30 of the PDF File that you can download too (even if your OS is not pre-Windows 2000).
My OS is Windows XP SP3.
