10 days out still red internet light on westell 6100g HELP!!!!!!

I have had DSL for over 10 years. Recently I asked for a speed upgrade. My internet light on my 6100g modem is red. I have tried using my surname and password as well as a friends surname and password. I have also used a different modem 7500 and still can't get on the internet. During this time a technician came to my house and said to lower my internet speed. I have lowered my speed to 1 Mbps and still a red internet light. My connection is fine it reads 5888kbps down and 800kbps up. Line tests when the system works are always OK.  I have been out for over 10 days. I have been sent to the escalation group and network specialists nobody can fix this problem. Can somebody here please help me.
