Did verizon use to have a 5mbps option or not?  I seem to remember that's what I signed up back in 2004 when I first got DSL, but I don't see that option anymore.

For FIOS, yes they had (or still have) that.

For DSL: I do not know for sure, But I have heard of DSL going 5MB if the line does not support 7.1 MB.
