I'm having a similar issue. New service, paid for 1500/348, but was only getting 20K down. Did an online support call last night, the tech made some adjustments and told me to power cycle the modem. After I did, rates were even slower. Modem reports a line service of 192/448, which is not contract level of service in either direction (down too slow, up too fast).
Is this solvable? I chose Verizon so I could get a good price and phone/tv/net on one bill, but I was with Comcast before moving to a new house, and have no problem going to them if Verizon can't provide contract level of service.
