I just got a new Verizon wireless router. This router has a USB port in the back, which I'd like to use to connect my printer so it can be shared with other computers in the house as it was before with my former router. The problem is that the USB port is blocked automatically if you use any of the CAT 5 ports to plug in any other devices. Does anyone knows a way to get around this? If I use the software on line from Verizon to control the router, when it comes to the USB port it says exactly what I mentioned above: either you use the USB port, which cancels the rest of the CAT 5 ports, or you use the CAT 5 ports and forget about the USB port.
I don't think is fair that Verizon does this. Anyone has any ideas? Thanks for your responses in advance!

What Verizon Router did you get ?
The USB Port is there to provide connectivity for users that do not have an Ethernet Card in their PC.
I agree that it would be great if it could be used for a USB Device (Printer, Camera, External Hard Drive, etc).

The USB is for connecting a PC to the Actiontec ONLY.
From the manual, which can be found at: http://support.actiontec.com/doc_files/GT704-WG-B_Vz_User_Manual_30.15.0.pdf :
USB Port
The USB port is used to connect a computer to the Gateway via USB cable.
