Can't upload files to my website

Three days ago Verizon did something to its DSL service (this seems to relate to the letter about email port changes) .  Now I can't upload any files to my website.  My website host is 1and1.com and my website URL is rubinspace.org.  I have uploaded hundreds of files to this website until three days ago without a problem.  Suddenly now all FTP uploads fail.  Can anyone help me?  Verizon support isn't able to and I absolutely refuse to be forced to pay for Verizon Expert Care to fix a problem the company created.

1madguy,

Nothing has been changed on Verizon's side that would result in blocking outbound FTP requests.  If you're able to route normally otherwise there is no reason to think that Verizon is causing this.  You may want to contact 1and1 to see if there have been any changes made to their ToS or a transfer quota has been made (or something along those lines).

Chris

Thanks for replying, Chris.  I spent over two hours with 1and1 and they came out of that with the certainty that Verizon was blocking third-party FTP servers.  The only other potential source of the problem that I can imagine at this point is the site-building software I'm using.  It's NetObjects Fusion 11.  But I can't believe it suddenly stopped working for me, as I've uploaded many pages using its capabilities.  I think someone, a Verizon broadband solutions specialist, read my post and checked into my difficulty and the calls I've made to Verizon tech support, because I got an email from her with a gift of a 30-day future credit (I presume for charges to Expert Care service).  But I'm not sure anyone at Verizon knows the time of day.  The so-called Expert Care service doesn't seem to exist -- only something called premium support.  After another hour or more of chasing my tail on the phone, I'm getting totally sick of this.  The Verizon response system is broken and needs fixing that I don't think anyone there can do anything about.  Sorry about the **bleep**, moaning, and whining.
