Purchased the VISS yesterday. Activation went fine. However, when I attempt to download I am getting the following error:
AutoIt Error:
Line -1:
variable used without being declared
I called Verizon tech support, who said that it was a Mcafee issue. I called Mcafee tech support who said it was a windows issue and that I needed to do all of the Windows updates- did that, and still nothing.
Running Windows XP eservice pack 3.
Any ideas?

try a different web browser
if you're using IE, try Firefox or Opera or Chrome for example.
one of them will work

Hi Jaimelangan, I am having the same exact problem with installing the security package. Were you able to fix your problem? I had a verizon assistant helping yesterday with no luck said this was not her expertise?? So, I am still having this problem and have spent a lot of time trying to fix. Did the web brower change work? Any info you can give will help.
Thanks
Glo

ok... go to verizon.com/connect and DL IHA .. it will DL the .NET framework in order for VISS to DL properly. lookup .NET framework if you need to DL (microsoft.com) .. also, check prior to VISS install with preinstall tool:
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/McPreInstall.exe
you can DL VISS from:
http://www.verizon.com/getviss
BUT, it's better to just DL from IHA (In-Home Agent)
