DSL drops frequently, every few minutes, all hours, all weather

The HSI service has been incredibly bad.  Verizon tech support has been generally sympathetic but unable to solve the problem.  Sending me another new (same model) modem with "upgraded firmware" despite having the latest firmware. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Paul

Your line is in bad shape. Given your attenuation, your circuit should be holding a higher SNR, and should be giving you speeds somewhere of 7.1Mbps to 10Mbps.

Please connect your modem up to the demarc or NID for your location to rule out all of your home's wiring. If that is not possible, get a tech to come out and service your line.

I'm in an apartment building in NYC, would that demarc/NID be the main one for the entire building?

Thanks, Paul
