DSL has been out for over a week!

My DSL has been down for over a week.  I call the 800 number and after an hour of router resets I get told that there is an outage in my area and my service will be back within 24 hours.    That was a week ago.  I have been calling every few days only to get told the thing.  

 Is there any phone number I can call for some real customer service and not just the run around?
