I activated my 1Mb/sec DSL plan a few weeks ago and I have to say I am very upset. I am only getting a maximum download speed of 100 kbps. Now I understand most people will not get the full advertised speed because it is probably just the theoretical speed (like 56kbps was for dial-up modems). However, as a paying customer is it too much to expect a little more speed? Perhaps 200-300kbps? Apparently so because I called customer service about two weeks ago to politely inquire about my speed and the rep put me on hold indefinitely. I called a second time and a different rep did the same thing. I called a third time today and after the rep told me my speeds look fine to her she refused to discuss it any longer and - you guessed it - put me on hold without warning. I'm thinking about filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for poor business practices.

There are two things you want to do.
First thing is first make sure the PC is 100% optimized using Verizon's optimizer
http://www.verizon.net/optimize
2ndly, there are statistics in your router.
view them and then copy and paste the information here
