Hi papasmurf1708...we do try to minimize downtime when converting from traditional DSL to regular. When you transition to dry loop DSL your regular land line is disconnected. So you will experience some downtime. When the dry loop DSL is activated you are given a fictitious telephone number. To order dry loop DSL please call 800 688-2880. Thank you for reaching out and continuing to use our services. We appreciate you!
