Hardware problem?

Message 1 of 2

Hi, my internet has been slow and inconsistent and I want to know if it's my router that's the problem.

My friend told me to run a pathping to see where the problem lies but I don't understand what it means. It's supposed to go to 30 hops or until it connects but it seems like it wont even go beyond 1. I am using an Actiontec GT704WG by the way.

Tracing route to []

over a maximum of 30 hops:

  0  Nina-PC.domain_not_set.invalid []

  1     *        *        *

Computing statistics for 0 seconds...

            Source to Here   This Node/Link

Hop  RTT    Lost/Sent = Pct  Lost/Sent = Pct  Address

  0                                           Nina-PC.domain_not_set.invalid []

Trace complete.

#1 Does this router offer wireless?

b) If so, is wireless in the router turned on?

c) Are any of your computers using wireless?

#2 Is UPnP in the router turned on?
