I suppost to get 1.5 to 3mbps at $39.99. The cnet bandwidth meter rarely read over 1.5 mbps. And surfing the web, I've seen Verizon offer the same service that I'm getting For 19.99.

a couple things when testing Speeds.

1. Make sure you are hardwired

2. Make sure you re-run the Verizon Optimizer

3. Make sure you are testing at http://speedtest.verizon.net

In rare cases you may have to adjust customer NIC settings to be 100MB half duplex NOT full (super rare)

Also you should check your modems transceiver stats and see if the modem is connected at a higher speed or if it is connected at 1.5     If the modem itself is connected at 1.5 then you won't ever get over that.    do you know which model and modem you got from Verizon?
