I need to configure MAMP Pro's Postfix panel in order to setup a mail server on my localhost. I have a php script that I need to test locally before I deploy it on the web.
I'm using:
-Mac with Leopard
-MAMP Pro
-Verizon DSL
The panel asks for:
a) Domain of outgoing mail
Is this verizon.net? outgoing.verizon.net? my domain? What should I put here?
b) checkbox for Smart Host
c) if the checkbox is checked, it asks for "host". How do I complete this?
I've tried many variations, but I can't get it to work. In the log, it mentions that Port 25 is closed. What should I do about this?
