I have had great success saying things like: I did not understand you, can I talk to someone who speaks English (my personal favorite!), etc.. After 5 or 6 of these, I get transferred to the American call center.

I think it is very disturbing that in the United States you have to do the equivalent of pulling teeth and climbing mountains to speak to an American tech support person. Just sayin'

Virtually from all companies. One I have found that is different is Discover credit card. Someone always answers, very few questions to identify yourself and extremely helpful. No, I don't work or know anybody at discover.

Really? Discover Card? That has to be a rarity. I wonder how long it will take for the "remove all humans from customer service" police to discover (no pun intended - well, maybe) this?
On another subject, I hope whoever fell asleep at Verizon Support notices, soon, that the weather report on the homepage is not available.
Okay - complaining time is over for now.
