I have Verizon DSL in the main house. I would like to make an ethernet connection available in the guest house. Can I put in a second router? What am I missing? Thanks for your thoughts. PB

Does it have to be a ethernet connection? Another option available to you is setting up a Wireless Range Extender. Then get a wireless card for the computer in the guest house and your good to go.

You could do a number of things...oh how my creative nerdy ideas come out on the forums...but yes you have different options as far as the medium and equipment you can use. A couple things I would need to know...how far, and how good are you with cabling and networking? Another thing to consider is security...I don't know if you are renting out the guest house or is it there just for convience.
