Internet speed was down after adding Double Play bundle package on my account

I used to have High Speed Internet Enhanced and Verizon Freedom Essentials on my account individually and I had to pay almost $111 per month. I recently notice that adding a Double Play bundle package to my account will decrease the monthly fee for both services from $111 to $55 per month and nothing will change. After I added this bundle package to my account, my Internet speed was down from 300Kbps to around 110kbps. It is kinda bothering me.  Does it happen to you guys?

You need to log into the Westell router (http://192.168.1.1) as administrator, and look for transceiver statistics.

This will tell us what the losses and margins are on your copper pair to the Central Office, which is a good surogate measurement for length of the copper pair. Basically that information will allow us to tell you what speed your line is probably capable of supporting.

1: If you see a Blue and White Westell page, mouse over Troubleshooting, go to DSL, and choose Transceiver Statistics. Copy/Paste the information on that page.

2: Otherwise: Go to System Monitoring > Advanced Monitors > Transceiver Statistics. Copy/Paste the information on that page.

3: Try visiting http://192.168.1.1/transtat.htm which is a direct link to the Stats on older modems.

If you need a Username and Password, try the following:

admin/password

admin/password1

admin/admin

admin/admin1

admin/Serial Number.

By Serial Number, I don't mean type in the words Serial Number. I mean find and type in the serial number found on the bottom of this router.

Since the serial number could be the log-in info, posting that was not a good idea. Which explains why it was {edited for privacy}

Did you try connecting your modem to the NID?

But there was no such a problem until I added a bundle package on my account. Thank you for your NID suggestion but i dont think that is related to it.  Anyway thank you.

Can you post up a speed test result? I need to confirm you're not confusing bits from bytes. I see we've got a possible Juniperitus issue that we might need to get corrected, but right now for the time being, we're going to need a speed test performed. Now if what you're saying was you had 3Mbps running on your line, it's kind of tough to see how the line would sustain the speed for an extended length of time without drops.
