I am using Verizon DSL with my cell phone as a VOIP connection. There are over 100 msec delays between parties in conversations. It has becaome a serious problem in communicating. Can this be resolved with the lower speed DSL or is higher speed upgrade needed?

The modem is is a Westell model 6100 and the router is a Linksys model WRT54GTM from T-Mobile.
