We periodically lose internet connection and the dsl light on our modem starts blinkiing slowly, than fast, than reconnnects. It also happens two or more times in a row. We notice it happens when it's hot outside. Anyone know what the problem could be? It's frustrating when watch something on Netflix and getting interruption.

It could honestly be a couple things. If your dsl light is blinking then you are losing sync. That could be anything from the modem, wiring in the house, cabling outside the house  or equipment in the central office.

If you are having an issue with your Verizon service, you can use the Verizon Troubleshooters to fix and report issues with your Verizon Phone, Fios TV, or Internet Service, as well as to schedule a repair. You can find these tools that may help you diagnose your issue on the Verizon Residential Support page:

It say it's for FIOS customers, not High Speed Enhanced which is what I have.

You'll probably need a tech visit. When DSL drops when calls arrive, it is usually the sign of a bad splice or cable. Or even a device called a Half Ringer which previously was used for remote line testing, but can be cut out of the line. Less common but also possible, a bad DSL filter can cause this. Be sure to mention to the person you speak to on the phone or on chat that your DSL goes out when the phone calls.
