I was testing this Netgear gateway in the thoughts of replacing my Actiontec GT704WG. The gateway will connect and sync up to 5 Mbps. But when I measure the throughput using the Speakeasy site, I am only getting 0.5 Mbps. With the Actiontec I will get over 4 Mbps. Any ideas why this could be happening? For now it is back to the Actiontec.
Was QoS enabled in the Netgear during the time you ran those tests? Is the firmware up to date?
Qos was off. Yes, I updated the firmware to the latest. Also I cloned the Actiontec MAC address onto the Netgear.
