We currently have a dial up service and when we receive a call while the computer is hooked up to the phone jack (not connected to internet) the phone rings twice and then acts like it is going into fax mode. Is there something that is not hooked up properly?
To me, it sounds ok.
#1 If you desire to, you can run a fax program on your computer to find out what was sent to you?
#2 Or maybe, perhaps someone is trying to access the computer remotely (not trying to send a fax)?
