Ok the disconnect issue seems resolved now the connection speed is so slow it is like we have dial-up. Can't watch vidio on netflix like we used to. Searching the web is so slow pages time out, what is the excuse now?
Do resarch on DSL... it is horrible compared to FIOS or even cable. Unless you are close to the distribution center DSL can be as slow as dial-up. At my wife's aparrment she switch from Cablevision to Verizon DSL. That last 2 days since the connection was as slow as dialup. I also looked up the distance from the CO and it was right at the edage where don't offer serice. Of course verizon denied this even after I showed them the website.
Anyway much happier with FIOS. The internet connection is amazing beyound belief. The TV and phone are OK, but the integration services (STB widgets, callerid, TV anywhere, Flex view etc) )and customer service from Verizon are always terrible.
