Have DSL and one phone with DSL filter connected to phone in house for several years with no problems. Recently started having noise on phone line and internet dropping. Only change is adding some new computers and upgrading to a new wireless WPA2 security. Verizon said to replace DSL router, now have Version D-Link DSL router. No improvement, replaced DSL filter with a filter from original installation and still no improvement. Phone is noisy and every time phone is used the internet goes down (DSL light goes red), and when phone is hung up then internet goes back on line. Tried different phones and same noise. When turn DSL router off then phone line is clear. Verizon checked phone line at house and said OK. I plugged my own phone into jack at entrance to house and line is clear.
Do you have the micro-filter plugged in at the jack or the back of the phone?

thw DSL 2 wire filter is plugged directly into the wall jack then the phone is connected into it.
Is the noise you are hearing white noise that sounds like a computer modem?
