When I set up my service I selected Yahoo as my portal and the only other choice was AOL. Anyhow, I didn't realize at the time that apparently you don't need a portal partner at all. Is it possible to unselect a partner and just use Verizons email server? Also, I would like to link my services and it says I can't do that if I have a premium portal partner. Thanks much,
Kirk

you can switch to AOL, that will get rid of yahoo... but can not go away from all portal partners, that I am aware of..
Basically go to www.verizon.net/getaolnow and run thru the process... you can manually install and chose only one thing, or just cancel during the software download...
or go thru it and then uninstal the AOL stuff
or use the AOL stuff
either way,. your verizon email will be verizon only at that point
I don't knwo what you mean by "linking my services"

Well, when I log into my normal Verizon account for my phone bill and stuff it say I can have one log in for everything but I can not link all my accounts with one log in if I have a premium portal partner. So my Verizon central, and Verizon wireless (cell phone, etc) all have separate log in stuff. That's why I wanted to get rid of the premium portal. Is Verizon's email server any nicer than Yahoo? Just curious - I've never seen it! Thanks for your reply!

search google for verizon webmail 3.0 and they should have some sweet graphics. I'm old school and don't really care what my email looks like.

Thank you Bob_Robertson. I was having all kinds of trouble with email errors for over a year. Verizon could not figure it out. It was all due to Yahoo. I guess there servers have a major problem communicating wth Verizon. I changed my portal partner to AOL throught the link you provided, did not install any aol or verizon software. Now I am on Verizon Webmail and all of my servers went from yahoo.verizon.net to verizon.net. No more errors,Outlook pop-up error was driving me crazy. If you have had fios for a long time like me and are having problemsdo this. Thank you!
