I see people with similar Margin levels (6 to 7) and Attenuation (60 to 70) getting their full download speed but why would mine be so low? Would Verizon cap bandwidth? I did not see anything in the User Agreement on that.

My Downstream Margin (dB) has jumped over 10. It has not been there since before the problem started.
I am so confused.

I do not know what happened either, but let us try to find out..
#1 In your router, go to Advanced -> UPnP.
#2 Is that feature on or off?
#3 If that feature is on, do you have at least two (Xbox, PlayStation) game consoles at your location? Even if they are not currenly connected to this modem combo.
#4 In your router, go to Advanced -> IP Address Distribution.
#5 This screen, shows the DHCP range of your router. What is the DHCP range?
#6 In your router, go to Firewall Settings.
#7 What is the firewall, set to?
Maybe you are trying to allow users from the net to connect to you OR maybe you are not trying to do that, I know that your screens are not the same, but you told me that you have the red and black Westell Firmware. And then I compared the screen of that firmwre at that FAQ to other screens of router(s). While the screen(s) are not the same, they are close to the screens for the Actiontec MI-424-WRv2 that is listed on portforward.com

#1 Good, leave that turned off.
#2 Ok, fine.
#3 Change that to medium - and press apply or ok.
If you can still access the net after you change it to medium, does that improve things?

Let me guess, if you change the setting to high - samething?
If desired: When done testing at medium or high, please go back to the default.
