After a few years of service my Verizon issued Westell VersaLink 327W has decided to give out on me. I bought a replacement for it, a Netgear Modem/Router model: DG834GT and can't for the life of me figure how to get it to connect to the internet. The manufacturer's site says it is fully compatible with Verizon. The DSL light comes on the device but I can't get iternet at all. Anyone have any advice?

To anyone who cares or had the same problem, the solution was to leave the old modem off for several hours before plugging in the new modem/router to allow for the DHCP or whatever lease to expire. My new Netgear modem/router works flawlessly now.
