Router password

My installation document shows the router ID as admin, but doesn't list a password. I need an internal static IP for my print server. If I could get into the router, I could probably take one from the DHCP pool.

Try using Admin as the login ID, leave the password field blank and click 'enter'. You didn't mention what brand router you are using, but many of them use this sequence.

Hey, try password.... hmmm. at least thats what my Default password was. cant remember the model. Its a newer one though. Most are password.
I know its a pain. Be sure to change the password and enable the firewall but set to low security it wont allow sharing services on the network if you block them using firewall set to high. Its good to at least have a good password due to security issue. If i found out what the ip address to your router was i could get into it using your admin and password login and get to your pc. know what i mean. If you set a good password i cant get into it even if i have the ip.
