We called their famous tech support, they again wasted over an hour reading off their check lists.
I know they are aware of a system clog, but Verizon will not admit fault.
They said they are going to monitor our connection for 24 hours. Sounds like something Janet Natpoliano does.

Speed the past three days... 80/120
This year we called for help four other times, always a problem on Verizon's end.
Verizon never explains the problem or cause, Verizon never offers a refund or a credit for wasting our time.
I wonder if Verizon is monitoring this
