Slow DSL

I had home phone and DSL, I was getting 1250kbps down and 350kbps up, all the time

I discontinued the home phone service, shut off today, now I only get 750kbps down and 125kbps up on the DSL

I called customer service and they told me that this is all I have ever had,

can anyone tell me why this would happen, and what i can do to fix, this is to slow
