Hi, I live in the Brazos County area in Texas, and have been experiencing random up & down times on our internet connection.
Sometimes it would be working fine, then suddenly it either slows down tremendously or disconnects from the internet, and sometimes it lasts for hours. I have done the power cycling on our modem but nothing seems to fix it.
If the router's going out of sync (the DSL light blinking, going out or turning red) there could be a line problem. If the phones are also getting static during this time, it would definitely be one. You may want to check your modem on a different jack or with a different cable to see if that helps.
