Verizon Your Domain (with Verizon Yahoo)

I would like to keep our Verizon e-mail addresses, even if we drop Verizon DSL as our ISP.  I am looking into the Verizon Your Domain service for $20/yr.  When I type in my e-mail address, it says this service is not available to Verizon Yahoo customers.  My e-mail ends in *******.verizon.net

Can I not use Verizon Your Domain?

If your account is portalled with Yahoo, you are not eligible for Verizon Your Domain. Yahoo portalled accounts still end in @verizon.net, they just have their mail handled by Yahoo. (If you can sign into your account at verizon.yahoo.com, it's a Yahoo portalled account.)
