Verizon spyware cookies found but no spyware

i am new to computing.  i use Verizon security suite.  when i ran the spyware program it found no spyware but 3 cookies.  don't understand what this is.  where they could of come from and if possible harm how to get rid of them.  the spyware program  just ignores these cookies.  i checked and have no unauthorized program running.  HELP!!!!!!

Some spyware programs report cookies as potential problems, but that's not always the case. A cookie is a small bit of tracking information that remembers your login information for certain sites so that next time you visit the site you do not have to re-enter your username and password. Usually this is not harmful to your system, however there are some site cookies that can keep track of personal information such as shopping habits, sites visited etc. They can use this information to send you spam (advertisements) to drum up business based on your particular habits.
