Verizon wireless and Verizon residential services are two different business units with Verizon corporate. They are run as almost separate companies. As such, they have different pricing and policies.
I can find several references online to military discounts on Verizon Wireless. I did not find any discounts for Verizon's residential services. That doesn't mean they don't have them, just that I can't find any. If you want to know for sure what Verizon offers you can ask them directly. Click here: Contact Us.
You might also want to ask around in the Vertern's community, maybe some of your compatriots will know about discount programs.
