Westell 327W port forwarding problem

I have a Westell 327W and cannot get port forwarding to work. I've read endless posts about HOW to do it and I am savvy enough to understand how to do this correctly, but the 327 refuses to cooperate. I can open the port and verify it IS open, but have been unable to get it to direct to the proper IP address. I can open port 2420 and get to the 327's admin from outside, but the 327 refuses to direct requestes to anything other than the host PC. Anyone else been able to correct this problem? I used to be able to do it when I had ATT/SBC service with the 2wire modem/router. I even tried a WRT54G and couldn't get that to work either!

#1 How did you verify that the port is open:

For example, using any of the following websites:

grc.com shields up

http://www.dyndns.com/support/tools/openport.html

http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/

http://www.canyouseeme.org/

^^ ?

#2 Do you have only one computer or at least two computers behind this router?

canyouseeme shows my ports open. I have two computers and two DTivo (hacked) boxes. When I has ATT service with 2wire equipment I had no problem doing port forwarding. But since I moved and had to switch to verizon, the Westell 327w has NOT worked. I have the tivo set to answer on port 1080. works from my side of the westell, but not from outside. If I turn on remove admin in the 327 it works. But it seems to refuse to communicate with anything but my main computer. Haven't tried to set up a web server on the computer to see if I can get it to answer on port 1080 yet. I'm no newbee but this ones go me stumped. Verizon support refuses to anwser ANY questions about this "feature".

If remote access is turned off in your router and the port is open from the net but you can not connect using the WAN IP (and port number as need be), your router either has loop back support turned off OR your router does not have loop back support.

If the router does not have loop back support, points to:

Which is, portforward.com -> forum -› Knowledge Base -› router does not have loopback support.
