My modem model number, F90-611016-06, is not in the table on that web page. It is a 6110 and not a 6100 modem.

The 6110 is a modem.  It should not have an ip address of 192.168.1.1.  that typically is a router address.

You say you can't access the 6110 with/without the router between but that it will connect if you directly connect the 6110 to the computer. dslr & I are trying to help but we can't go much further without knowing your PC's assigned IP address.
