Hello:  I have these two modems the newest one is the Westell 7500 I use this on my main pc

I also have an older pc and I tried to set up my older second modem with the westell 6100

The problem is, it seems I can only get dial up on it, do I have to go into it and change some kinda settings

to make is DSL not dial up?  Any idea's would be appreciated! Thanks

#1 You can not use both DSL modems at the same time per phone line number.

But here is an example of what you can do..

a) On 610-868-0000 you have your Westell 7500 connected to.

b) On 610-868-0001 you have your Westell 6100 connected to.

Where a and b above are two phone lines that you own*

#2 If your computer has IE on it, while IE is running go to Tools -> Options -> Connections. Make sure that never dial a connection is selected.
